Loving all these tips Billy. Keep them coming. They are all very helpful. Quick question, I’ve been eating a protein bar before my workouts in the morning because it’s quick and convenient, it’s this okay? Do you think they are too high in sugar and calories? The one I eat is 180 calories, 5 grams of fat, 0 trans fat, 22 grams of carbs, 14 grams of sugar and 12 grams of protein. Is this a bad choice? Thanks.

Great question Raquel and thanks for the encouragement. We have more great blogs on the way to keep you moving forward! The “quick and convenient” thing is definitely a factor in the morning. It looks like you found a decent bar that works for you. I think it’s “okay” especially if that’s your only bar of the day! Not too high in calories and the sugar in the bar is probably/hopefully being used as energy during the workout.

Thanks Billy and Kathy! At 5:30 am it’s the quickest thing to grab to get there by 6:00 am. Ugggh!! Well, it gets me through the workout and I haven’t passed out yet! 🙂 I figured it’s better than eating nothing. Thanks again for the input.
