This is an e-mail I received from my superstar client Colleen who has been journaling her nutrition for a couple of weeks. Sometimes it takes seeing someone else benefiting from something to motivate us to do it….
So I finally started to write down everything I eat in a food journal due to your suggestion and it was eye opening! I didn’t think I had THAT bad of habits until I actually saw it in black and white. From not choosing the best foods, to skipping meals and snacks & having a few too many “drinks” throughout the week writing it down helped me see it all. I’ve only started to journal and I’m not perfect but journaling in the few weeks that I’ve been doing it has helped me keep on track a little bit better. I think twice now if I want to grab something to eat, knowing that I have to write it down. And I’m trying hard to not skip meals & cutting back on drinks. Hopefully I’ll stick with it because I know it will help me get to my goal quicker and I’ll be much healthier for it.
